About Me: The Puerto Rican Artist David "D-Nero" Marquez was born in Millington, a Naval Air-Station Military Base in Memphis, Tennessee on February 2nd 1982. Growing up D-Nero had later moved to Panama (South America), North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky (Ft. Knox), and finally Tampa, Florida where he made a name for his self in the Latin Urban genre. D-Nero began singing at the age of 3 where he would mimic songs with his father and uncles who were all singers, musicians and composers. It was no doubt the young latino would follow the family tradition. He began playing the guitar by the age of 12 and started writing his own music a year later. Many of D-Nero's influences besides his father and family members were famous Latin artists such as Hector Lavoe, Willie Colon, Marc Anthony, El Gran Combo and many more. He was also influenced by many other english artists as well. Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, The Eagles, The Beatles and Eric Clapton were just to name a few. D-Nero would then sing covers to these artist which landed him gigs in local bars and night clubs around the Tampa Bay and St. Pete area.There is no particular genre D-Nero prefers. He is able to cover Latin, Reggae, Reggaeton, Hip-hop, and R&B all equally the same. He has performed shows in festivals, clubs, and other events internationally because of his wide array sound.In 2006 D-Nero formed the group known as The Latin League. The group was formed by D-Nero(The League Entertainment) and June(Latin South Entertainment). In 2007 he toured Mexico on a three city tour (Zaccatecas, Monte Rey, and Mexico City). The tour was broadcasted all around the world and sponsored by Corona and Modelo. On the 20th of January 2009 D-Nero made history by being one of the 1st latin artists from Florida to perform at a Presidential Inauguration for our 44th President of The United States Of America Barack Obama. He performed at 3 official Inaugural Balls (The Organization of American States, The Department of Transportation, and Carlos Rosario School.). Other performers were DLG(Dark Latin Grove) and The Ojays to name a couple. D-Nero was welcomed by the Media and was interviewed and given National exposure on Abc News, Fox, Bay News 9, Bay News 9 En Espanol, Ozone Magazine, The Tampa Bay Tribune, Tampa Bay Times, The Latin Times, as well as many other radio stations and Television Networks. The media did multiple storyies on the latin artist, before and after the Inauguration. He was voted by T.B.T(Tampa Bay Times)as one of the Top10 artist in 2009 and 2010.D-Nero has performed and collaborated with many industry artists such as Daddy Yankee, Tego Calderon, The Kumbia Kingz, Zion & Lennox, El Gran Combo, Grupo Niche, D.L.G, J-King & Maximan, Trebol Clan, Toby Love, Tito Rojas, Ivy Queen, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Tony Touch, Nina Sky, Sean Paul, Notch, Rick Ross, Jermaine Dupri, Janet Jackson, and Colliebudz to name a few. In February 2010 D-Nero's hit single "Sueltate" Debuted on La Fiesta 105.7Fm and was put in heavy rotation on the CBS Radio station For months. His music has been in rotation throughout The U.S as well as Canada, Mexico, Honduras, and other parts of Central and South AmericaD-Nero has then decided to start on his solo Album which will debut late 2010. The Album which is not yet titled will have an array of different kinds of music from Latin Urban to Hiphop and R&B.
